Prior to joining NYBDC in February of 2003, Cedric served as a state program coordinator and business consultant for the New York State Small Business Development Center assisting mostly manufacturing firms. He has over 10 years of consulting experience working with businesses that range from start-ups to those with annual sales of $80 million.

Cedric obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the College of Saint Rose, and an MBA from the University at Albany.  Cedric was a part-time adjunct professor at his alma matter, The College of Saint Rose, where he taught "Business Venture and Entrepreneurship" for the Spring 2002 semester.

Cedric lives in Guilderland, New York with his wife Jennifer and three children: Naomi (eight years old), Darius (five years old) and Keenan (one year old). He volunteers his time and services to a variety of Capital Region based non-profit organizations. Cedric is on the board of Girls, Inc., an organization that provides innovative educational programs to girls, particularly those in high-risk, underserved areas.

Cedric started as an enterprising youth, being one of the first high school students to graduate from the renowned National Academy of Finance program (NAF) while attending high school in New York City. Cedric's team won the city-wide stock market challenge.  

It is no surprise that Cedric was a recipient of the 2002 Capital District Business Review’s "40 Under 40" Award which honors 40 individuals who have demonstrated professional excellence and community involvement. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing and weightlifting.
