Linda Zou, Vice President

Linda joined NYBDC in September 2006 in our Manhattan office.  She works with our lending partners along with 6 other Loan Officers in our New York City and Long Island offices.  She is responsible for providing loans to small businesses in the five boroughs of New York City and Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Linda moved from Reading, Pennsylvania to New York City in 1983 with her parents and her siblings and has been living in NYC for over 23 years. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Baruch College in New York, New York.  Linda has over nine years of experience in commercial lending.  She spent most of her banking years at Independence Community Bank and Country Bank.

Linda is a member of Young Mortgage Bankers Association and Metropolitan Mortgage Officers Society. She also is an Associate Member of New York Chinese American Bankers Association. Linda also volunteers her times to a number of charities including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

While enjoying her work, Linda also enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, especially with her adorable nieces and nephews.  Linda likes to travel and has built an album of beautiful world sceneries over the years.  She also likes to read and to skate.

“I like my job very much,” she said. “I like the fact that I don’t have to compete with my banker friends. I partner with them instead, to better serve their customers and to help small businesses to grow and to create jobs – making New York a better place to live and to work.  I am proud to be a member of NYBDC team and that I could utilize my bilingual skills, while NYBDC is reaching out to the Asian market.”
